Signs of The Times

As in the Days of Noah: Man Kills Newborn with Crossbow, Blames Wife, Hides in Woods” (6 July 2025)

On June 27th of this year, Patrick D. Proefriedt was sentenced to 25 years to life for the 2023 death of his own 17-day-old daughter. As chilling as the act was, the story behind it was even worse. As speculation grows, some profound questions are being asked. What kind of person can be so cold-hearted? What kind of person could be so callous?

On June 26, 2023, Patrick and his wife Megan were typical parents, up late with a child whose non-stop crying is keeping the both of them awake. However, Proefriedt began arguing with Megan. He then retrieved a crossbow from another room, loaded it and fired it at his wife Megan while she is holding the little Eleanor in her lap.

The arrow (often called a 'bolt') pierced Eleanor's upper torso and exited near her armpit before striking Megan in the chest. Now Proefriedt didn't suddenly come to his senses and began trying to get help for his child and wife. He takes his wife's phone away from her and hides it, preventing her from calling 911. He then fled in the couple's only vehicle she could have used to seek help.

He was found hiding in the woods less than a mile away after his truck got stuck in the mud. By now, having had time to think of the incident, you might think he finally began to feel some remorse for what he done. Detectives reported Proefriedt showed no concern for his wife or daughter. He claimed, "It wasn't that big of a deal, and I'll be out of here as soon as possible."

He even blamed his wife, claiming she 'dared him' to shoot.

During the sentencing hearing, Megan Carey's words were absolutely on point: “Despite everything that has happened, I still believe in love, I still believe in healing, I believe in forgiveness—but he is beyond forgiveness. He has no empathy and no humanity.”

There are times when the actions of a person are without excuse. The Bible talks about these days. A time when lawlessness knows no bounds. Where the absolute absence of empathy, love, caring and decency are not just missing, they have been replaced with cold-hearted evil. Jesus himself says, “When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day." - Matthew 24:37 NLT

5 The LORD observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. 6 So the LORD was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart. 7 And the LORD said, “I will wipe this human race I have created from the face of the earth. Yes, and I will destroy every living thing—all the people, the large animals, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and even the birds of the sky. I am sorry I ever made them.” - Genesis 6:5-7 New Living Translation

The Bible points out that also in the last days, people will lose the empathy and conscience that God has given them, Now the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, - 1 Timothy 4:1 New King James Version

3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. - 2 Timothy 3:3-4 NLT

Tragedy In Texas: Flooding Tolls 32 Dead, Including 14 Children (5 July 2025)

The floods on Friday in Texas read like a script from a modern-day disaster movie. This has been one of the most catastrophic natural disasters in the state's recent history. In particular, the Hill Country region near the Guadalupe River. The river rose 26 feet in just 45 minutes; that is not a misprint. A river rising with such speed and force can easily overwhelm any community standing in its way, and that's exactly what happened to Kerrville, Hunt and Comfort.

More than 20 campers from Camp Mystic, a Christian summer camp for girls are still missing. At least 32 have died, including 14 children. So far, some of the victims include 9-year-old Janie Hunt, a camper at Camp Mystic. Jane Ragsdale, director and co-owner of Heart O' The Hills Camp. Katheryn Eads, a counselor and therapist, also confirmed deceased.

This storm was particularly severe due to several factors: A slow-moving storm system stalled over the region, dumping mass amount of rain, fueled by moisture from the Gulf of America and remnants of Tropical Storm Barry. And the area's dry, drought-hardened soil acted like concrete, causing the water to run off rapidly, instead of soaking into the soil.

Additionally, officials admitted the were caught off guard by this storm. Kerr County has no flood warning system, and the fact it struck in the middle of the night, giving residents little time to react.

The Bible talks about things exactly like this as a warning to those alive at the end of times. While some people may blame 'freak' weather occurrences, or global warming, the truth remains clear: These things were prophesied in the Bible, and now they're coming to pass.

25 “And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. 26 People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then everyone will see the Son of Man coming on a cloud with power and great glory. 28 So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!” - Luke 21:25-28 New Living Translation

Wildfire Engulfs Crete: A Fiery Crisis in the Mediterranean (5 July 2025)

A massive wildfire erupted this week near Ierapetra, on the Greek island of Crete, forcing thousands to flee as flames tore through forests, olive groves, and villages. Fueled by scorching heat and gale-force winds, the blaze has become one of the most intense disasters to strike the region in recent years.

🚨 The Scope of the Disaster

  • Over 1,500 people evacuated by emergency orders.

  • 5,000+ tourists fled hotels and coastal villages on their own.

  • Three active fire fronts continue to burn, with flare-ups complicating containment.

  • No fatalities reported, though several suffered respiratory issues.

  • 230 firefighters, 46 trucks, 6 helicopters, and drones are battling the blaze.

Evacuations were ordered for five settlements: Agia Fotia, Achlia, Ferma, Koutsounari, and Galini. Many evacuees were relocated to shelters in Ierapetra or nearby hotels.

🌡️ Climate and Conditions

Crete is enduring July temperatures in the high 80s to low 90s°F (30–38°C), paired with winds up to 50 mph. These conditions, combined with drought, have turned the Mediterranean into what scientists now call a “wildfire hotspot.”

This fire is part of a broader pattern:

  • Fires are also burning in Halkidiki, Koropi near Athens, and Chios.

  • Greece has already seen over 2,000 wildfires this season.

  • The government has hired 18,000 seasonal firefighters to brace for the summer.

🏖️ Tourism and Economic Fallout

The fire struck just as Crete entered its peak holiday season. Thousands of tourists have left early, and local officials warn of a significant economic impact. While popular destinations like Rhodes and Kos remain unaffected, the psychological toll is spreading.

🔥 A Broader Reflection

Wildfires are not new to Greece — but their frequency, intensity, and unpredictability are escalating. Scientists point to climate change, poor forest management, and urban sprawl as key contributors.

But there’s also a deeper question: What happens when the land itself groans under the weight of human neglect and environmental imbalance?

Romans 8:22 says:

“We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.”

These fires are not just natural disasters — they are warnings. Not in a sensational sense, but in a sobering one. They remind us that the earth is not infinite in its patience, and that stewardship is not optional.

🧭 What Now?

  • Pray for the people of Crete — for safety, healing, and restoration.

  • Reflect on the fragility of the systems we depend on.

  • Act where you can — whether through environmental care, disaster preparedness, or simply staying informed.

Earth Is Spinning Faster — And the Bible Has Something to Say About Time (5 July 2025)

Since 2020, scientists have observed something strange: the Earth is rotating faster than it used to. According to astrophysicist Graham Jones, we’re now seeing days that are shorter by up to 1.66 milliseconds — a record set on July 5, 2024. And more record-breaking short days are expected in July and August 2025.

It’s not enough to change your daily routine — you won’t suddenly get off work early. But it’s enough to affect atomic clocks, satellite systems, and GPS. And it raises a deeper question: what does it mean when even time itself is shifting?

⏳ The Earth in a Hurry

For centuries, Earth’s rotation has been gradually slowing down due to tidal friction from the Moon. But in 2020, that trend reversed. The planet began spinning faster — “as though it were in a hurry,” the article notes.

That phrase caught our attention.

Because 2,000 years ago, Jesus said something that now echoes with fresh resonance:

“Unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.” — Matthew 24:22

📖 What the Bible Says About Shortened Days

Jesus wasn’t talking about milliseconds. He was describing a time of great tribulation — a period so intense that if it were allowed to continue unchecked, humanity wouldn’t survive. The “shortening” of days in that context is a divine act of mercy, a limit placed on chaos for the sake of the faithful.

But here’s the connection: When the natural world starts reflecting spiritual truths, it’s worth paying attention.

🔍 What Could This Mean?

We’re not saying this is a prophecy fulfilled. But we are saying this:

  • Time is not as stable as we think. Even the Earth’s rotation — something we take for granted — is shifting.

  • The world feels like it’s accelerating. Technological change, moral confusion, geopolitical unrest — it’s all happening faster.

  • The Bible has already spoken to this. Not in fear, but in clarity. Not to panic us, but to prepare us.

🧭 A Call to Discernment

This isn’t about predicting dates or decoding signs. It’s about recognizing that the physical and the spiritual are not separate realms. When the Earth spins faster, it may be a whisper — a reminder that time is precious, and that God is still sovereign over it.

So what do we do?

We stay awake. We stay grounded. And we remember that even if the days are shortened, the promises of God are not.

Earth spinning faster as scientists warn record-breaking shortest day is coming

Literal 'Signs in The Heavens': Another Fireball, This Time In Scotland. (3 July 2025)

The heavens are putting on a dramatic show, and for many, it's more than just an astronomical curiosity. Recent sightings of rare "fireball" meteors across the globe are sparking conversations, particularly among those who look to ancient prophecies for deeper meaning. Could these fiery displays be literal "signs in the heavens" as foretold in scripture?

Just last year, in July 2024, the skies above New York City were illuminated by a spectacular, and incredibly rare, daytime fireball. This luminous visitor entered the atmosphere, gracefully passed over the iconic Statue of Liberty, and ultimately disintegrated high above Midtown Manhattan, witnessed by countless astonished onlookers.

Then, last Thursday, June 26, 2025, another daytime fireball captivated residents, first sighted above Oxford, Georgia, and then widely observed across Atlanta. The rarity of two such events occurring in broad daylight within a year has certainly caught the attention of both scientific observers and those seeking deeper interpretations.

Now, the celestial theatre has shifted across the Atlantic. In the early hours of Thursday, July 3, 2025, around 12:50 AM local time, a dazzling fireball streaked across the Scottish night sky. Reports poured in from Glasgow, Argyll and Bute, and as far northwest as the Outer Hebrides. Even Edinburgh Airport witnessed the glowing object zooming overhead, a testament to its widespread visibility despite the nocturnal timing.

These striking celestial events naturally lead many to ponder their significance. For centuries, various traditions have viewed comets, meteors, and other atmospheric phenomena as omens or divine messages. In the context of biblical prophecy, passages like Luke 21:25-26 resonate powerfully:

"And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken." - Luke 21:25 New Living Translation

Whether these recent fireballs are merely coincidental natural phenomena or hold a deeper prophetic significance remains a matter of interpretation and faith. However, one thing is certain: they are undeniably captivating, prompting us to look skyward and consider the profound mysteries that unfold above us. The heavens, it seems, are indeed speaking.

Yet Another Earthquake: Another Earthquake Hits Myanmar (3 July 2025)

Myanmar suffered a second earthquake on July 3, 2025, this one a 4.4 magnitude. On March 28, Myanmar experienced a 7.7 earthquake, resulting in over 5,000 deaths.

10 Then he added, “Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 There will be great earthquakes, and there will be famines and plagues in many lands, and there will be terrifying things and great miraculous signs from heaven. - Luke 21:10-11 NLT

Yet Another Earthquake: 5.5 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Japan (3 July 2025)

A preliminary 5.5 magnitude earthquake was reported in off the coast of Tokara Island on Thursday.

10 Then he added, “Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 There will be great earthquakes, and there will be famines and plagues in many lands, and there will be terrifying things and great miraculous signs from heaven. - Luke 21:10-11 NLT

Unthinkable Betrayal: Pediatrician Charged in Child's Death – A Reflection on Prophecy (2 July 2025)

The details emerging from Florida are truly heartbreaking. Dr. Neha Gupta, 36, a pediatrician, has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of her 4-year-old daughter, Aria Talathi. What was initially reported as a tragic drowning on a family vacation in El Portal took a horrifying turn when an autopsy revealed Aria was likely dead before entering the water, with injuries suggesting asphyxiation.

This horrific event, where the sacred bond between a mother and child appears to be so cruelly violated, compels us to look beyond the headlines and consider the deeper spiritual implications. Many are left asking: how can such profound evil exist?

For those who study the Bible, these events resonate with chilling familiarity. The Scriptures do not shy away from describing the spiritual climate that would define the "last days." Among the most sobering predictions is one found in Matthew 24:12 (NLT): "Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold."

This isn't merely about one individual's actions, however monstrous. It points to a pervasive spiritual ailment that the Bible describes as hearts growing "cold." What could be a more poignant example of this prophecy unfolding than the alleged betrayal of a child by the very person entrusted with her care?

The Apostle Paul, in Romans 1:28-31 (NLT), describes the consequences when humanity collectively disregards God. He speaks of lives becoming "full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder... heartless, and have no mercy." This chillingly mirrors the headlines we witness daily, where unimaginable acts of violence, selfishness, and cruelty seem to be on the rise.

Jesus himself spoke of the return of the Son of Man, saying in Matthew 24:37 (NLT): "When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day." What characterized those days? Genesis 6:5-7 (NLT) reveals a world where: "The LORD observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. So the LORD was sorry he had ever made them... It broke his heart."

Imagine a world so consumed by wickedness that it breaks the Creator's heart. We are not just seeing isolated incidents; we are witnessing a pattern that echoes the very conditions Jesus warned about. When mothers allegedly kill children, when families are destroyed by violence, and when random acts of terror become commonplace, it is a stark and undeniable reflection of those "days of Noah."

The evidence is before us. Prophecies written thousands of years ago are manifesting in our headlines with unsettling precision. This isn't about blaming individuals, but about recognizing the profound spiritual shift occurring in the world. It is a direct and urgent call to spiritual awakening.

For those with eyes to see and ears to hear, these "signs of the times" are not merely unfortunate news stories. They are powerful affirmations that the Word of God is indeed coming true, and that the return of our Lord Jesus Christ is drawing near. This reality compels us to examine our own lives and prepare ourselves, for where we stand in these moments will determine where we spend eternity.

Prestigious Virginia Private School Praises Adolf Hitler and Expelled Jewish Children (1 July 2025)

Nysmith School For The Gifted might sound like the perfect school; in fact, it was considered one of the best schools in the entire country. Unless your children are Jewish. Following the terrorist attack on Israel in October 7, 2023, some Jewish students faced bullying, mockery and what one parent called, "campaign of ostracizing". And when three of those Jewish students complained, they were expelled. Yes, you read that right. The Jewish students were expelled, while none of the antisemitic student suffered any type of punishment.
But what the children were being taught at this 'prestigious' school was even more shocking. Students drew a picture of Adolf Hitler, teaching that Hitler was a 'Strong Leader'.

(Disclaimer: This image is presented for educational and editorial purposes in the context of public interest journalism. The inclusion of this image is not an endorsement, but a visual indictment of systemic ethical decay. All copyright belongs to the original creator or publisher. This type of outrageous behavior on the part of this school's administration only shows the complete depravity of the times in which we live. To think that antisemitism is not only ignored, but openly encouraged is not only disturbing but should be widely recognized as unacceptable. The Bible tells us that in the last days people heart's will grow cold toward one another as iniquity, or wrongdoing abounds. Day after day, these type of events get more and more common. I encourage you to read the full article. The link is below.

12 And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. - Matthew 24:12 ESV

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, 4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. - 2 Timothy 3:1-5 ESV

Little Did CNN Know They Were Fulfilling Bible Prophecy (1 July 2025)

Recently CNN, an American news media company released an article about Bible prophecy and its possible effect on Middle East policy. Shockingly, CNN reportedly frames these beliefs as “apocalyptic religious myths,” implying they could be shaping geopolitical tensions more than political strategy.

What is evident is the unbridled hate for anything Christian. In the last few years, CNN has taken a dramatic turn to the left, embracing democratic party views and platforms. Among their recent activities, they have been sued by the Trump administration twice, one time resulting in a huge settlement being agreed on by both parties. CNN has publicly questioned the basis of the Declaration of Independence, stating their alarm about people who believe rights come from God and not government.

But little did CNN know as they released their latest article mocking Christians who believe in Bible prophecy, and calling these Bible truths 'myths', that they themselves had just unwittingly fulfilled Bible prophecy!

3 Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. 4 They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.” - 2 Peter 3:3-4 New Living Translation

Even as the old-style legacy media mocks the Bible, the Bible knows the end from the beginning. This is not just another book. This is the Word of God himself. As Chuck Missler would frequently say, 66 books, penned by over 40 authors, is a single message source from outside our time domain. And he was not wrong. The Bible is the only book in the history of the world that records prophetic events about our future that has, so far, gotten everything 100% right!

Jesus is returning, and he is coming soon. Even CNN unknowingly agrees.

🏞️ “Return to the Land”: A Modern Echo of an Old Ideology (1 July 2025)

In the quiet hills of northeast Arkansas, a group calling itself Return to the Land is attempting to resurrect a deeply troubling vision of America—one rooted in racial exclusion and white supremacist ideology. Their goal? To build a whites-only, off-grid community that explicitly bans Jews and non-white individuals. While the group’s ambitions may seem fringe, their existence raises urgent questions about the persistence of racial separatism in the 21st century—and the legal and moral boundaries of such efforts.

🧬 A Legacy Repackaged

White supremacist enclaves are not new. From the Aryan Nations compound in Idaho to failed ethnostate experiments in Kentucky and North Dakota, the dream of racial separatism has long haunted the American landscape. What makes Return to the Land notable is its organizational sophistication: a legal structure, membership vetting, and land ownership through a limited liability company. This isn’t just a group of extremists squatting in the woods—it’s a coordinated attempt to institutionalize segregation under the guise of private association.

⚖️ Legal Loopholes or Legal Fiction?

The group claims that by operating as a Private Membership Association, it can legally restrict residency to white Christians or pagans of European descent. But legal scholars argue this likely violates the Fair Housing Act of 1968, which prohibits discrimination based on race or religion in housing. As Tulane law professor Stacy Seicshnaydre notes, “It would be difficult for any private association to avoid compliance with fair housing law if it is engaging in real estate development.”

The group’s explicit exclusion of Jews and Muslims—based on the claim that these religions are “non-European”—further undermines any legal defense. This isn’t a subtle dog whistle; it’s a bullhorn of bigotry.

🔍 The Identitarian Movement and the Myth of “Heritage”

At the heart of Return to the Land is a belief system known as identitarianism—a far-right ideology that frames white European identity as under siege from immigration, globalization, and multiculturalism. Its adherents often cloak their racism in the language of “heritage” and “tradition,” but the underlying message is clear: exclusion, not preservation.

This ideology has found fertile ground online, where YouTube channels, Substack newsletters, and crowdfunding platforms allow groups like this to spread their message and raise funds. The Arkansas community may be small, but its digital reach is far greater.

🧱 Why These Movements Fail—And Why They Still Matter

Historically, most white separatist communities collapse under the weight of financial mismanagement, internal conflict, or legal scrutiny. But their failures don’t erase the harm they cause. They normalize hate, intimidate marginalized communities, and test the limits of civil rights protections.

Moreover, they serve as a barometer of deeper societal tensions. The rise of such groups often coincides with periods of demographic change, economic anxiety, and political polarization. They are symptoms of a larger illness—one that requires not just legal remedies, but cultural and spiritual ones as well.

But the Biblical aspect is far more disturbing, as it goes back to something Jesus himself noted as a sign of the end times. 10 Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven." - Luke 21:10-11 English Standard Version

This passage of the Bible not only talks about actual war, but hatred. The word 'nation' in this passage is the word 'ethos' in the original Greek, the origin of the English word 'ethnic'. Jesus accurately talks of a time like this where even in a country where ethnic diversity is celebrated, old hatreds are suddenly rising.

No Jews allowed: White supremacists are building a segregated community in Arkansas, but is it legal?

Yet Another Earthquake: Mild Earthquake Shakes Poltava, Ukraine (1 July 2025)

In the early hours of July 1, 2025, a magnitude 3.1 earthquake was recorded near the village of Karpusi, just 10 kilometers from the city of Poltava. The tremor occurred at 1:23 a.m. local time, at a depth of 7 kilometers, according to Ukraine’s Main Center of Special Monitoring.

Despite the seismic activity, the quake was classified as “imperceptible”—meaning most residents likely slept through it. No damage or injuries were reported.

While Ukraine isn’t known for frequent large earthquakes, small tremors do occasionally occur, especially in the Carpathian and Pre-Carpathian regions. Poltava itself has experienced similar low-magnitude quakes in recent years, including a slightly stronger 3.67 magnitude event back in February.

This latest tremor serves as a reminder that even in relatively stable regions, the earth can still stir beneath our feet—quietly, but unmistakably.

Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. - Matthew 24:7 New Living Translation

The Depths of Greed: Minnesota Charity Under Investigation For Falsifying Records (1 July 2025)

A new company is now under investigation for defrauding the Government's 'Feeding Our Future' meals for children taxpayer funded program.

In March of this year, a jury found Aimee Bock, founder and executive director of Feeding Our Future guilty of defrauding the government of $250 million dollars during the pandemic. Now, another organization, the New Vision Foundation, (NVF) is under investigation for Feeding Our Future meal fraud.

The Bible is very clear about the effects of greed upon people in the last days. It has a lot to say; and those who refuse to heed its warnings will surely feel the effects. The Bible says that money has power like no other thing on earth. To love money is the root of all evil, not money itself, but the love of it. Many, many people have resorted to murder, slander, robbery, and a whole host of crimes just to accumulate it. Many a minister has started out their life on a road to genuinely help people and care for their spiritual need, only to fall into the ditch when it comes to riches.

9 But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. - 1 Timothy 6:9 New Living Translation

15 Then he said, “Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own.” - Luke 12:15 New Living Translation

There is one verse in particular that has come under fire, especially by some ministers who try to take the bite out of this verse: 23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is very hard for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. 24 I’ll say it again—it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!” - Matthew 19:23-24 NLT

Some people claim that this verse is talking about a gate in the city of Jerusalem called the 'Needle Gate'. They say this gate was very small and low, and for a camel to enter, it would have to get down and crawl underneath. But there is no historical evidence for such a gate!

The notion that the “eye of the needle” referred to a small gate in Jerusalem—through which a camel could only pass by kneeling or being unloaded—didn’t appear until the Middle Ages. The earliest known mention seems to come from a gloss attributed to Anselm of Canterbury in the 11th century, and it was later included in Thomas Aquinas’ Catena Aurea in the 13th century.

No, there is no mention of a Needle Gate. Jesus was making a point and making it clearly. It's not that God hates rich people or he doesn't want rich people to get saved, but the point should be clear: It is very hard for a rich person to trust in anything except their money; it is very hard for a rich person to love anything except their money. It's not that God doesn't want them saved, but they can't let go of that attachment to their money.

God doesn't often ask people to give up all of their earthly possessions and follow Jesus, but he expects you to be willing if he does ask.
